May 11, 1927 in California, was founded the American Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The
Academy was conceived as an organization of professionals, volunteer, dedicated
to the advancement of cinema. But above all, the Academy is known around
the world for her to set up an annual award "Oscar" - the most
prestigious film awards.
